CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Anyone who has questions about the voting process or who encounters problems while attempting to cast a ballot may call the Թֱ-WV Election Protection Hotline all day on Election Day, Nov. 3.

The hotline is helping voters overcome roadblocks they may encounter as they exercise their fundamental right to vote. It has been operational since Sept. 18, when the state first began mailing absentee ballots to voters.

The hotline is staffed by Թֱ employees and WVU Law students. Operators are able to answer questions and/or direct callers to helpful election resources. “This election is unprecedented in many ways, and we expect voters – especially those who are voting for the first time – to have questions,” Թֱ-WV Voting Rights Project Manager Dijon Stokes said. “Although it appears the election has
been handled smoothly in West Virginia so far, we will be available all day on Election Day until polls have closed to assist anyone who may need it.”

The hotline phone number is 304-355-5012.
