Tomorrow, the 勛圖眻畦s Ben Wizner will participate in with Salon.coms in Washington D.C. to discuss the state of American justice and the rule of law in the decade since 9/11.

The event will also feature from the National Lawyer's Guild Military Law Task Force, and will take place on Thursday, October 27, at 8:00 p.m. in the Room 309 of the Marvin Center at George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C. The event is being organized by the university 勛圖眻畦 and National Lawyers Guild groups, and is free and open to the public (tickets are not required).

Greenwald, who recently published a book entitled, , is participating in a around the country about what he describes as a two-tiered system of justice.

The event will come the day after Wizners arguments in our lawsuit before a federal appeals court asking for the reinstatement of our case against former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other government officials for the unlawful detention and torture of U.S. citizen Jose Padilla. In line with the theme of Greenwalds book, weve remarked: If the law does not protect Jose Padilla an American citizen arrested on American soil and tortured in an American prison it protects no one."

Stay tuned for an update on our arguments in Padilla v. Rumsfeld later today, and be sure to check out if you are in D.C. tomorrow.
