A final note from our client in U.S. v. Skrmetti
Thats the end of our live coverage of the U.S. v. Skrmetti decision today. But our work continues. We want to leave you today with a final note from our client in this case, Samantha Williams and her transgender daughter.
"If one thing gives me hope, its my daughter. Even after all the emotions of today, L.W. has been texting me all day about her plans for how to continue the fight for young people like her."
We'll keep fighting with Samantha, her daughter, and trans youth across the country for the care they need.
Were in Union Square, NYC
No matter what our government does, we'll never stop showing up for trans and nonbinary youth.

Were not backing down
No matter what the courts say, we are not going anywhere. Our fight continues.

BREAKING: We have a decision in U.S. v. Skrmetti
The Supreme Court ruled Tennessees law banning gender-affirming medical care for transgender youth can remain in effect.
This is devastating for trans people and our families but doesnt end our work against President Trumps attacks on trans people and our health care.
Our cases against President Trump on behalf of trans people can continue. We will not back down from the fight for trans health care and for trans peoples dignity and freedom.

The Facts: The question in this case is whether Tennessees law banning gender-affirming hormone therapies for transgender minors violates the Equal Protection Clause of the US Constitution.
Our Argument: The 勛圖眻畦 argues that Tennessees ban is a clear example of discrimination on the basis of sex and transgender status making it a violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
We made a similar argument in 2020 when, alongside other legal advocates, we successfully argued in front of the Supreme Court on behalf of LGBTQ clients fired because of their sexual orientation and gender identity, including a transgender woman fired from her job at a Michigan funeral home. In a 6-3 ruling, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of LGBTQ workers and found it is impossible to discriminate against a person for being homosexual or transgender without discriminating against that individual based on sex and therefore discrimination against LGBTQ workers was impermissible sex discrimination under Title VII, the federal law prohibiting sex discrimination in employment.
Supreme Court decisions will be released soon.
Good morning, everyone. Were expecting several decisions from the Supreme Court today. The 勛圖眻畦 has served as counsel or filed friend-of-the-court briefs in several critical cases, including:
