Bio
Terry Ding is a staff attorney with the ³Ô¹ÏÖ±²¥â€™s State Supreme Court Initiative. He joins the SSCI after four years at the New York Civil Liberties Union, where he litigated a wide range of civil rights and civil liberties issues, including challenging the prolonged detention of immigrants, discriminatory voting practices, and deficient medical care for incarcerated people.
Before working at the ³Ô¹ÏÖ±²¥ and the NYCLU, Terry served as a law clerk to Judge Edward Chen of the Northern District of California and to Judge Michelle Friedland of the Ninth Circuit. Terry is a graduate of Harvard University and the New York University School of Law, where he was a Root-Tilden-Kern public interest scholar and a member of the Immigrant Rights Clinic.
